  My friends and I ate here (the Wilmersdorfer location) at least 15 times in our 4 week stay in Berlin. The staff knew our orders and customizations, and would always be so excited to see us that we started going even if we weren't very hungry just because it was such a happy atmosphere. My friend is vegan and, when she told them, they immediately began to fry her French fries in separate oil to ensure they wouldn't be contaminated with meat. They always clarify our orders more than once to be sure they don't make a mistake, and do so with genuine care. We are always greeted in English, even though it is not their first or second language. The food is so amazing I have dreams about it; I want them to cater my wedding, funeral, anything. It's made with such love and deliberateness that we were floored today when we found out there are multiple locations, as everything is prepared with the type of focus and attention one normally only sees from a small business. This is the only place I will eat a burger without removing the onions and pickles first. I trust the ballis cooks with their choices and it all comes together perfectly.
